The KaPow Mission
|
With two years under our belt, we are excited to jump into our third season as a well recognized field hockey club in the Northeastern, PA region. Our mission, as always, is to combine elite training sessions and quality competition with life lessons on and off the court. Our KaPow Community Service opportunities and our yearly KaPow Adventure Outing introduce each athlete to new experiences ... helping to develop each player, not only as an athlete, but also a person!

KaPow Hockey
The KaPow Field Hockey experience is like no other. It's a unique mixture of fun, adventure, partnership and personal growth ... all wrapped around some of the best hockey training anywhere. Please check our Programs page for more specific details about our 2011 - 2012 hockey season features.
KaPow Playing Opportunities
The KaPow Hockey Klub will be participating in a variety of outdoor tournaments throughout the year. We believe that having a range of playing experiences is very beneficial for our players. Each tournament will provide new challenges and valuable experiences. The players will face new competition that will help foster both development and growth as a player and individual. The two tournaments we will be entering this year are the National Hockey Festival and the Disney Field Hockey Showcase. We will hold tryouts for all outside tournaments that KaPow enters.
KaPow Fundraising
KaPow Hockey Klub provides each of its players a fun and exciting range of Fundraising opportunities ... to help offset your Klub membership fees. And it's not too soon to get started for the 2011 season! Check out our KaPow River Day Fundraiser and the Inspired Fundraiser.
KaPow in the Community
We're all about building hockey skills. But we're also about building character. If there's one thing we've seen during my Olympic journey, it's that skills without character can lead to lots of unfulfilled dreams. And while character consists of an enormously complicated mixture of personal and professional qualities, in the end, it boils down to something as simple as living the Golden Rule.
We are blessed to live at a time, and in a place, where we lack for little. This gives us the unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.
KaPow has with Habitat for Humanity and helped to raise money for children who need re-correctove surgery for a Cleft Lip or Palate. We look forward to new ideas for our 2011-2012 community service activity.
